After receiving his concert diploma for double bass at the Conservatory of Feldkirch (2003, Austria) an further studies at the Conservatoire Nadia et Lili Boulanger in Paris (2003–2005) he studied Media Design at the University of Applied Science, Vorarlberg (2006-2009). He since has followed a dual path of music and graphic art.
As a musician, extended concert tours brought him to five continents and more than 40 countries, with his sketchbook as a steady companion. Larger format works evolved from those travel sketchbooks and were presented in various exhibitions. Lucas Dietrich is living in Berlin, where he works as a freelancing musician, graphic designer and illustrator.
